Hi,
mal ein anderes Sidewinder Problem. Habe ein Sidewinder Dual Strike ge-ebayt und keine Treiber dafür bzw. Software überhaupt. Von Microsoft gibts nichts zum runterladen. hat jemand eine Idee wo ich das Zeug herkriegen kann?

es gibt keine win 2000 oder xp treiber

du musst das teil im kompatibilitätsmodus installieren (xp)

ob und wo du die soft herbekommst weiss ich leider nicht - sorry

Die Treiber für den dual strike sind nur für win 95 und win 98 und eingeschränkt für win 2000 aber bei XP setzt es dan ganz aus die dazu passende installations CD solltest du bei deinem E-Bay auktionator einfordern

Hi hatte das prob auch und hab den Artikel bei google gefunden. Es klappt!
1. Log XP Pro as an administrator.
2. Insert the Sidewinder Software 4.0 installation CD and abort the installation once the first screen of sidewinder appears.
3. Run the program compatibility assistant. You can reach this assistant by typing this string (whitout quotes and being offline) in the direction area of the Internet Explorer: "hcp://system/compatctr/compatmode.htm". You can also reach this assistant by typing the word compatibility in the search area of the main help screen.
3. Once you get the assistant screen press next.
4. The assistant asks you something like "Which way you wanna locate the program you are going to run with compatibility configuration". Select the option that says something like "I want to use the program that is located in the CD-ROM drive". The assistant will take you to the next screen automatically.
5. Now you have to select a compatibility mode for the program you are going to run. At this point maybe you have the sidewinder installation screen focused. Dont close it. Just click the assistant window, select the option Windows 98 / Me, go back to the sidewinder screen and then start the installation. It will run normally. At the end reboot your machine and check things up.

sorry, wenn ich mich da einmische. Mein Dualstrike wurde unter W2K einwandfrei erkannt und installiert. Funzt ohne Probs!!

Hab auch ein SideWinder und meine Treiber-CD verloren... :'-(
Und such nun verzweifelt nach Treibern bzw. meiner CD.

hab das gleiche prob. klar hat xp das pad erkannt, jedoch fehlen einige funktionen wie etwa die schemata-speicherung. weiß da sonst auch nicht weiter.

Ich kann euch helfen, führt diesen Link http://www.rgag.de/html/body_windows_xp.htm aus und es funzt mit XP
Folgt den schritten und ihr werdet sehn

Ich hab das gleiche Pro wie manche von euch:
meine CD ist einfach nicht mehr auftreibbar und bei Microsoft gibt es keinen Treibedownload für dieses "veraltete Gerät mehr, oder ich war einfach zu doof dafür. Habt ihr vielleicht einen Link für eine Seite, die wo man einen solchen Treiber findet?

Ich habe das selbe Gamepad und leider meine Treiber-CD verloren!
Gibt es die Treiber irgendwo zum Download???

Hi, also die Installation mit CD unter XP ist folgende:
CD mit Explorer öffnen
in Ordner Setup wechseln
die Anwendung SETUP (nicht _Setup) mit rechtsklick anwählen
in Karteikarte kompatibilität wechseln
Kompatibilität von Win 98 auswählen
mit OK bestätigen und
AUSFÜHREN

Voila' das wars und es funzt 100%
